Pre-Departure & WORK LOCATION REVEAL

Howdy, folks!

Before my LAST BLOG POST BEFORE MY DCP (!!!), I just want to take a quick moment to thank you all for your support so far! I have really enjoyed blogging and cannot wait to continue doing so on my program.

Today is my last day in Pennsylvania before heading south for my program. I’m lookin' for a little more adventure, time to be movin' along! However, I'm "movin' along" a bit sooner than expected! Due to the impending snow storm, my mom and I decided to leave a day early to get a head start on our road trip. I’ve spent the last few days packing, organizing, running errands, hitting up my favorite Berks County spots, and saying my “see ya real soon”s to friends and family. Everything is satisfactual, and I’m ready to embark on my new adventure tomorrow! My mom and I will arrive in Orlando a day before my DCP check-in. It will be nice to settle in and relax a bit since next week (and the next several months) will be a whirlwind!

If you read my last blog post (and the title of this one), you know I have some exciting news to share! Earlier this week, I received my itinerary for the DCP which gives me my schedule of events for the first week, housing assignment, and work location!

For housing, my roomies and I have been placed in Chatham Square! I’m super excited to be living in this apartment complex — it’s where all of the housing events are held and is a central location. I will know more specifics about my apartment (how many bedrooms and if I have more roomies) once I check-in, so stay tuned for more info on that!

Now...for my work location! Did anyone notice the italicized phrases throughout this post? Hmmm...could that have something to do with where I’m working? Well, get ready, cause this here’s the wildest ride in the wilderness! I am so happy to officially say I’ll be working Merchandise in Frontierland in Magic Kingdom!!! I cannot wait to work right next to one of my favorite rides (Splash Mountain) in the most iconic park and hum zip-a-dee-doo-dah all day long. If you ever venture out west while you’re in WDW, stop on by and say howdy!
